DING Siwen, PhD candidate at the School of Philosophy and Social Development, South China Normal University, supervised by Professor Lei Jing. Her research focuses on Modern New Confucianism, Song–Ming Neo-Confucianism and aesthetics. She is primarily working on FANG Dongmei’s philosophy of life and theory of emotions. She published the article “The Unity of Poetry and Painting: Resonance and Artistic Realm in the Aesthetic Thought of Guo Xi and Su Shi” in Aesthetics and Art Studies (Vol. 12, 2024). She also participated in the National Social Science Fund project “From ‘Responsibility’ to ‘Trust’: New Explorations in the Moral-Political Philosophy of Song–Ming Neo-Confucianism” (17FZX019), which has been successfully completed.
