ZHANG Bowen is a current Ph.D. candidate in the School of Philosophy and Social Development at South China Normal University. His research focuses on Logic of Questions, Philosophy of Science. His doctoral work consists in the two fundamental thematic areas of “semantic foundations” and “dependency relations”, this thesis provides a comparative analysis of the strengths and limitations of various theories on the logic of questions, including J. Hintikka’s Interrogative Model of Inquiry (IMI), A. Wiśniewski’s Inferential Erotetic Logic (IEL), and the Inquisitive Semantics (InqS) proposed by I. Ciardelli et al. Furthermore, it investigates the explanatory efficacy and methodological value of these theories within relevant domains.
